Hello — I am Devi. I’m a scientist, immigrant and lifelong learner who believes in creating a life with purpose, flexibility, and impact.
I earned my PhD in Biochemistry in the US, and have spent decades in demanding scientific and corporate roles. My husband and I are both scientists, and like many professionals, we dedicated years of long hours and hard work to building our careers.
Over time, I realized that even education and dedication, job security can feel uncertain. As the years pass, the cycle of long hours and constant pressure rarely slows down. It made me reflect on what truly matters—health, family, time to travel, financial stability and giving back to the community—and I knew exploring opportunities beyond the traditional 9–5 path was inevitable.
Living in the United States for over 20 years, family responsibility has always been deeply important to me. My loving mother—my only living parent—still lives alone in Sri Lanka, and ensuring she has comfort, care, and dignity in her later years means everything to me.
